Skincare for Acne and Blemishes

In today's world, skincare issues are very common. Almost every person faces the issue of acne, wrinkles, blemishes, hyperpigmentation and many more. So, finding a proper skincare solution for your skin is really important.

Everyone has different types of skin concerns. Whether it's men or women, both genders face skin issues at almost every age. Acne/Pimples are most likely to occur at teenage. As in teenage, our hormones change and our body structure too.

Before jumping to the solution, one must have knowledge about skin condition and the issue they are facing. Because without knowing the exact reason for the skin problem, it is very difficult and almost impossible to treat it. So, let's first know the reason behind getting acne and blemishes.

Acne:-

Acne occurs because of excess oil and dirt on the skin. Extra oil and dirt together makes bacteria on the skin which causes acne. One more reason why acne occurs is hormonal changes. When a child shifts to teenage, their hormones also change which is why acne or pimples occur on their faces.

Acne/Pimples results in making the skin red. The redness on the face can again turn into acne/pimples which most of us don't know. Redness on the skin comes because of active acne. When acne disappears, it leaves its spot behind, which is called acne marks or acne spots. And these acne marks turn into blemishes on the face. Now the question comes, what are blemishes? Let's know more about it.

 Blemishes:-

Many people think acne is blemish. But it's not completely true. Blemish is a skin condition in which the skin starts to become dark from where there was acne. So, blemishes occur because of acne. When acne disappears, it leaves behind the dark patch on the area where they were. It is also used to describe acne. The blemish which occurs because of acne is called acne blemishes and there are several types of it, such as blackheads and whiteheads, papules, pustules, acne nodules and cysts.

● Blackheads and whiteheads:

White and black marks appear on our skin when pores get filled with excess oil, bacteria and dead skin cells. When the pore closes up, a bump develops on it which is called whitehead. If the pore remains open and gets filled with debris, it forms a blackhead.

● Papules:

The other name for Papules is Pimple which forms when excess oil, dirt, bacteria and dead skin cells goes deeper into the skin.

● Pustules:

Pus-filled bumps are commonly known as Pustules which is similar to Papules.

● Acne nodules and cysts:

These blemishes are more likely to go deeper into the skin. These bumps when healed may leave an acne scar on the skin.

How to control/manage Blemishes:- Now when you know what acne and blemish is, it will be easier to understand the further information. Keep reading to know how you can tackle these pesky blemishes and prevent them.

● Facial scrub

The first step to get your clear skin back is to use a facial scrub no matter what kind of blemish it is. With the use of facial scrub, you can get rid of dirt, oil and debris. Use a scrub which effectively removes impurities from the skin and gives radiant glow.

● Don't pluck your blemishes:

Almost everyone makes the mistake of touching their face all the time. Touching your face everytime is one of the worst things people do. Never touch your skin too much. Touching your face too much leads to spreading the acne all over the face.

● Give time to your skin:

We all wish that one or two uses of a product can instantly fix our skin problems, but this isn't true. We need to give our skin enough care and time. Giving time to our skin is most important, so that the skin can heal properly. It takes four to six weeks for these blemishes to vanish.

● Consult a Dermatologist:

If nothing is working on your skin and you are not able to know the exact reason behind your skin problem, then it is the time when you should consult a Dermatologist. A Dermatologist will be able to know more about your skin and exact reason behind your skin condition and will be able to treat it accordingly. A Dermatologist goes more deeper into the problem and finds the exact treatment for that.
